At the time, the original of the first cab-over-engine Henschel launched in the postwar era was given a second life and outfitted with a skip lorry. This marked the first time that the legendary Henschel was tasked with a welcome new mission. Aside from dedicating considerable attention to the detailing of the skip lorry, the traditional model makers added character to the front of the Henschel by adding the brand family’s striking radiator grille that emphasises the bonnet. The fine grille structure has been engraved in the mould, as has the prominent Henschel star and the various ornamental strips, which at one time gave the otherwise plain sheet metal value.
