The tiered Trans-Europe cab was the visual cue of the new cab-over-engine generation that Magirus-Deutz introduced in 1963. In the wake of the International Motor Show, IAA, the long-distance lorry from Ulm signified the dawning of a new age for Magirus. The 1:160 miniature of the flatbed tractor-trailer epitomises the logistics initiative launched at the time in a bid to form powerful tractor-trailer combinations.
