Description:
Another area where the great bonnet trucks of the post-war decades had to prove their worth every day was forestry. This field of operation called for vehicles capable of transferring their power to rough terrain while carrying heavy loads of timber logs. Ideally suited for the job, the Henschel HS 140 hauled logs to the sawmill, living up to the expectations linked to its good name at the time. Exemplifying a bonnet truck typical of its time, the HS 140 left its mark on the fifties before the cubic cab-over-engine lorries became popular at the lorry maker from Kassel during the following decade. The 1:87 model shines with an intricate tractor unit body with true-to-the-original engravings of Henschel star and body beads. The driver’s cab is distinguished by the typical bulbous doors. Extensive engravings of rear window and roof fans dominate the driver's cab. The radiator grille brandishes the typical Henschel star, which has even been inserted as a separate piece. The design is rounded out by the Henschel lettering and the elevated bonnet buckles. Driver's cab pale brown, interior clay brown. Fenders, chassis with cardan shaft and wheel rims blood orange. Inserted radiator grille iron grey with Henschel star painted silver. Trailer with intermediate bar pale brown, fenders and wheel rims blood orange. Tree trunks brown-beige. Headlamps painted silver, tail lights imprinted red. Grille engraving blood orange. UPC: 4006190390132
