Ready to hit the road! When WIKING introduced the VW 1600 at the time, its real-life brother was a genuine touring sedan. It literally served as the car for the whole family, outpacing the unassuming VW Beetle. The Wolfsburg limousine never managed to shed its boxer engine image - the Beetle concept had left indisputable traces. Worse yet, the space for luggage under the front hood was considered quite limited. Utilising revitalised moulds, WIKING has now, for the first time, outfitted the VW 1600 with a chrome-plated luggage rack, carrying a leather suitcase as additional luggage.
