Hardly ever has there been a more contemporary tractor-trailer combination. Now that the wagon-carrying road train is rolling into the portfolio, both the previously released cubic Mercedes-Benz tractor unit and the Unimog U 1300 have found their perfect towing companion. Special vehicles such as the wagon-carrying road train were the prime choice for heavy haulage forwarder Pieper as they enabled them to master the varied special tasks the Ruhr Valley transport expert was entrusted to handle. Pieper boasts a long tradition in the forwarding business, which began with its founding in Dortmund all the way back in 1901. Well into the eighties and nineties, Pieper managed to rise to the increasing challenges that arose from the growth the forwarding company. This capacity turned the company into one of the major players in the industry.
