Description:
The history of Readymix is closely linked to the boom in the construction industry after World War II and the development of ready-mixed concrete - and the first Henschel chassis for the concrete mixer is the perfect fit for this scenario. The concept of ready-mixed concrete was originally conceived in the United States and Great Britain. The Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) Group was founded in 1930 in the UK and quickly blossomed into a world-leading building materials group. The RMC Group expanded to Germany as early as the nineteen fifties when they founded Readymix AG. The first German ready-mixed concrete plant was built in Düsseldorf in 1955. Numerous acquisitions of cement plants and gravel pits allowed the Readymix to become one of the largest building material producers in Germany. Their trademark: Their orange-coloured mixers! With the first cab-over-engine mixer the auto makers from Kassel made after the war, WIKING has now miniaturised an early original. Driver's cab, chassis with cardan part, and concrete mixer superstructure with mount as well as the rear fender and chute bright red orange. Bumper including front fender and radiator grille black. Interior basalt grey. Wheel rims, mixing drum with closing mechanism and attachment also bright red orange. Driver's cab doors as well as mixing drum with “Readymix” lettering on either side. Headlamps hand-painted in silver. Henschel lettering and star on the front imprinted silver, window borders black. Ornamental strips and door handles painted silver. UPC: 4006190682114
